Our Story
What started as a shared passion among motorcycle enthusiasts became something much greater — a craft distillery rooted in friendship, heritage, and the pursuit of excellence.

It all started on a summer ride through Alberta's heartland. Six friends, united by their love of motorcycles and good spirits, found themselves in Wetaskiwin — a city with a rich railway history and an entrepreneurial spirit that matched their own.
The old railway tracks that once connected this community to the world inspired more than just our name. They reminded us that great things happen when passion meets purpose, when friends become partners, and when a simple idea takes on a life of its own.
Today, Trackside Distillery stands as a testament to that journey — from grain to glass, from dream to reality.

Wetaskiwin, whose name comes from the Cree word meaning "the hills where peace was made," has always been a place of convergence. The railway brought people together, fostered trade, and built a community that thrives to this day.
We honor this legacy in everything we do. Our distillery sits near the historic tracks, a constant reminder of the journeys that brought us here and the ones still to come.
Every bottle of Trackside spirits carries this heritage — the grit, the determination, and the community spirit that defines this corner of Alberta.
We believe in transparency and craftsmanship at every step of the process.
We partner with local Alberta farmers for the finest grains.
Traditional mashing techniques extract maximum flavor.
Small-batch distillation in our copper pot stills.
Hand-bottled and labeled with pride in Alberta.
Six friends who turned a shared dream into reality.
